This special Mother's Day episode highlights how the story of Samuel and his mother Hannah shows that the future of a nation begins in the home—and the home begins with the heart of a godly mother.
Lessons from a Godly Mother:
- She Taught Him to Pray (1 Sam. 1:9-11, 27-28; 3:19) When worship is present, prayer is powerful. Moms, it’s your joy and privilege to teach your children to pray and worship.
- She Taught Him to Keep Promises (1 Sam. 1:24-28) Hannah kept her vow to the Lord. Godly moms model integrity and faithfulness.
- She Taught Him to Praise (1 Sam. 2:1-10) Don’t just pray—praise! Hannah’s song of praise reminds us that answered prayer deserves wholehearted gratitude.
- She Taught Him about God’s Promotion (1 Sam. 2:18-21) God gives more than we could ever gain on our own. Trust in His provision and timing.
Final Thought:
A mother carries a child for 9 months—but her lessons last a lifetime.
