S3 Ep 67'' The Ark of our God''

Join us as explore lessons from the Ark of God. The Ark of the Covenant, detailed in Exodus 25, was a gold-covered acacia wood chest containing the stone tablets of the Law, serving as the central, holiest object in the Tabernacle. Its gold lid, the Mercy Seat, flanked by two cherubim, was the precise location where God promised to commune with and deliver instructions to Moses.

S3 Ep 65''A Deal with the Devil''

The King of Sodom offered Abram all the recovered goods and people after the battle, requesting only that the persons be returned, but Abram refused this generous offer. Knowing that the King of Sodom was wicked and would claim he had made Abram rich, Abram swore an oath to God that he would take nothing from the king, "from a thread even to a shoelatchet." This decisive action ensured that Abram's great wealth and victory were clearly seen as blessings from God Most High, the possessor of heaven and earth.Church Website: https://www.ashlandstreetbaptist.com/Podcast Website: https://rss.com/podcasts/the-ashland-...Facebook: / asbcarchdaleThe Bible Believe's Program https://open.spotify.com/show/3R76FeN

S3 Ep 55''Just want God wants''

The message “JUST WHAT GOD WANTS” captures the heart of Romans 14, where Paul teaches believers to live in a way that pleases God rather than themselves. In this chapter, the focus is on seeking God’s will above personal opinions, preferences, or liberties. It’s a call to surrender our desires and align our hearts with His — to walk in love, not judgment, and to pursue peace and edification.

S3 Ep 54''The Biopsy of a Backslider''

This episode takes us to the book of Jude for a message titled “The Biopsy of a Backslider.” Just as a biopsy reveals hidden sickness, this study exposes the spiritual causes and symptoms of backsliding — when believers drift from truth back toward the world. Pastor Shelley explains how apostasy creeps in, steals conviction, and corrupts character, yet reminds us that God still offers restoration. No matter how far someone has fallen, there’s hope and healing when the backslider comes home to the Lord.

S3 Ep 52''God's name deserves Honor''

“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain” Text: Exodus 20:7 This scripture reminds us that bearing God’s name is a sacred responsibility, not just a spoken claim. To take His name “in vain” means to take it falsely or without sincerity. As Christians, we bear the name of Christ — we are called His people, His children, and His representatives in this world. Taking His name involves commitment, like a marriage vow that binds us to Him for better or worse, as Job declared, “Blessed be the name of the Lord.” It also reflects character — our lives should display Christ’s likeness in our words, actions, and love, not just in outward profession. If a blind person followed us for two weeks, would they know we’re Christians by how we live? Finally, it speaks of circumstance — we are called by His name to humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from sin (2 Chronicles 7:14). For His name’s sake, He restores, leads, and forgives us. So let us confess, call upon, and commit to His name — not taking it in vain, but living in a way that honors the name above every name.

S3 Ep 51''Life produces Life''

“Life Produces Life”Text: 1 Peter 1:3; 22–25; 2:1–5The Christian life is a wonderful life! Peter reminds us that it’s a life filled with steadfast hope, personal holiness, and motivated reverence. Why? Because we have been given new life through Jesus Christ — and life produces life. When Christ gives life, that life begins to grow, to build, and to bear fruit. S3 Ep 50''It's time for Change''

In Romans 13:8–14, Paul gives a clear and urgent call to believers — “It’s time for change.” God is calling His people to wake up, to live with spiritual awareness and moral urgency, knowing that Christ’s return is near. The knowledge of His coming should stir our hearts to live differently, reflecting His light in a dark world. It’s time for a change in our appetite, casting off the works of darkness and putting on the new man in Christ; a change in our armor, as we put on the armor of light and walk in dependence on Him; a change in our attitude, to walk honestly before God and others; a change in our application, to not just know the Word but to live it; and a change in our allocation, making no provision for the flesh. Like soldiers who burn their ships, we must leave no way back to sin. When we truly “put on the Lord Jesus Christ,” His presence will be seen in us—His love, His compassion, His strength—and the world around us will be changed. Oh, it’s time for change.Church Website: https://www.ashlandstreetbaptist.com/Podcast Website: https://rss.com/podcasts/the-ashland-...Facebook: / asbcarchdaleThe Bible Believe's Program https://open.spotify.com/show/3R76FeN

S3 Ep 49'' God Must be First ''

As we continue to study the book of Exodus, we come to one of the most important passages in all of Scripture—the Ten Commandments. These are not just ancient words written on stone; they are living truths meant to shape our hearts and guide our daily walk with God. In this sermon, we focus on the first four commandments, which remind us that God must always come first. They call us to honor His name, His day, and His place in our lives above all else. When God has His rightful place, everything else finds its proper order. S3 Ep 48''Keep the Book and the Book will keep You''

“Keep His Word and the Word Will Keep You” Text: Proverbs 6:20–22In this episode, we are reminded of the power and protection found in God’s Word. The command is clear—“Keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother.” When we keep God’s Word close to our hearts, the Word will, in turn, keep us. Psalm 119 shows the deep love and delight the psalmist had for the law of the Lord: “O how love I thy law! It is my meditation all the day.” The believer who treasures the Word finds both guidance and peace—“Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.”The Word of God guides us—it directs our steps and keeps us on the right path. It grows us by shaping our hearts and minds into the image of Christ. It gears us up, equipping us to face temptation and trials. It grabs us—holding our attention and affection when the world tries to pull us away. And the Word guards us, protecting us from evil influences and sin’s destruction. When we learn to keep His commandments, we discover the promise that “it shall keep thee.” God’s Word is not just a book to be read but a living guide to be obeyed and loved. It becomes a gift that brings peace, protection, and power to the believer who treasures it. S3 Ep 47''Acceptable to God''

What does it mean to live a life that is acceptable to God? In Romans 12, Paul reminds us that God desires more than words—He desires a life fully surrendered to Him. To be acceptable to God means offering ourselves as a living sacrifice, placing every part of our lives on the altar for His use. It means refusing to be shaped by the world’s standards and choosing instead to be transformed by the renewing of our minds through His Word and Spirit.Church Website: https://www.ashlandstreetbaptist.com/Podcast Website: https://rss.com/podcasts/the-ashland-...Facebook: / asbcarchdaleThe Bible Believe's Program https://open.spotify.com/show/3R76FeN

S3 Ep 43''Who's on your Heart?''

Intro:This week we look at Romans 9–10, where Paul reveals his deep burden for his people, Israel. His heart’s desire and prayer was that they might be saved. The question is—do we share that same burden for the lost today?Application:Who is on your heart today? Are we carrying a burden like Paul? Are we praying by name for family, friends, and neighbors? If we truly believe eternity is real, then our love for Christ should compel us to love the lost.Closing Thought: Paul’s passion wasn’t just for Israel—it was for all people. If the Gospel is our hope, then we must share it with those who are perishing.

'' Great Faith''

Intro: In today’s episode, we examine a remarkable encounter between Jesus and a Roman centurion—a man described as good, kind, and in authority. Yet it wasn’t his goodness or position that moved the Lord. It was his great faith.Text: Matthew 8:5–13Outline:The Willingness of the Savior (vv. 6–7)Jesus shows perfect readiness to respond. He is willing to hear, help, and heal.Great faith trusts in Christ’s willingness, not one’s own worthiness. The Unworthiness of the Soldier (v. 8)The centurion expresses deep humility: “I am not worthy…”He recognizes the conscious ability of Christ—Jesus doesn’t need to come in person. The Unequaled Power of the Word (vv. 9–10)He believes that Jesus' Word alone is enough. This reflects the abiding method of Christ—God works through His Word.Psalm 119:162: “I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.”The Undeniable Result of Faith (vv. 11, 13)Jesus marvels at his faith. The servant is healed “in the selfsame hour.”Faith always honors God, and God honors true faith.

S3 Ep 20''The Judgment of God'' - ( Romans 1:17-2:16)

The Judgment of GodText: Romans 1:26–2:16 (Romans Part 2)IntroductionWe’ve traced the downward spiral of mankind:The Anger of God – Romans 1:18-20The Avoidance of God – Romans 1:21-23The Allowance of God – Romans 1:24-31Now we arrive at the sobering conclusion in Romans 1:32:Romans 1:32 “Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”God’s judgment is not random or unfair — it is based on truth, righteousness, and Jesus Christ Himself. Let’s look at three truths we must all understand:I. The Reality of God’s Judgment (Romans 2:1–3)Romans 2:3 “And thinkest thou this, O man…that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?”Everyone — rich or poor, church member or heathen — will stand before God.II. The Reasons for God’s Judgment (Romans 2:6–11)III. The Righteousness of God’s Judgment (Romans 2:11–16)Romans 2:12 “For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;”Whether a man sins without the law (the pagan) or with the law (the religious), he is lost without Christ.“Someone can go to hell from a bar stool or a church pew — both are lost without Jesus.”IV. The Redeemer in God’s Judgment (Romans 2:16)Romans 2:16 “In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.”In Christ, We Are Safe from CondemnationConclusion:You will face God — either in judgment with your sin, or in Christ without condemnation. Come to Jesus today — He’s the only way to escape The Judgment of God.
