Today I have the great privilege of sharing a conversation with you that I recently had with Dr Timothy Hawkes. 

Tim has taught overseas as well as in Australia and led co-ed and single-sex schools for nearly three decades, including Australia’s oldest independent school, The King’s School, Parramatta. He has been an advisor to the Federal Government, was the founding Chair of the Australian Boarding Schools’ Association, the founding Chairman of the Heads of Independent Co-educational Schools of Victoria, and served as a Heads of School representative on the governing board of the International Baccalaureate Organisation and on the Board of the Association of Heads of Independent Schools of Australia (AHISA).

 

Tim is a recipient of an Australian Government – Excellence as a Headmaster Award in 2007 and an OAM for services to education in 2014, He has also authored a dozen books on education and leadership, and spoken at education conferences around the world.
