The Canon 50mm 1.8 STM is the newest addition to the Canon EF lineup. Its a motorized Autofocus lens that is extremely affordable.
The body is made out of plastic. This certainly keeps the price down, but also makes it a very light weight lens - perfect if you're a photographer who doesn't want the extra heft often associated with lenses.
Its not a perfect lens, but for the price point you do get decent image quality and performance.
In this video review, I'll break it down and show you some sample shots. We'll talk about the imperfections of the lens and what its strong points are.
