Yesterday morning, President Obama spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast. Here is the audio. This opens up a discussion I want to focus a podcast on in the near future. Where do we draw the line between religion and politics? Here’s what the First Amendment of the United States Constitution states:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Anything in there about Separation of Church and State? Do you think the National Prayer Breakfast goes against the First Amendment, or is it protected?
