Show Notes

A tragic aviation accident in New York is raising serious questions about runway safety and the pressure air traffic controllers face every day. Two pilots were killed when an Air Canada Express jet from Montreal collided with a fire truck while landing at LaGuardia Airport. To better understand what happens inside the control tower during situations like this, and how rare and stressful these incidents are, Andrew Carter spoke with Dennis Wyche, a former air traffic controller with 35 years of experience.
