One of the things I’ve always found truly tragic is that Naruto never really got the chance to know his parents. I mean, in a way, it had to be that way. The story wouldn’t be the same if Naruto didn’t understand suffering. In fact, the movie Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie even suggests that if Naruto had grown up without pain, he might have turned into something far darker — perhaps even a villain.
On the other hand, the film also turns Hinata Hyuga into an incredibly bold and, let’s be honest, stunning version of herself… (Come on, I was young once too.) So you can definitely take everything that happens in that alternate universe with a grain of salt.
Still, one of the greatest tragedies remains: Naruto never truly got to know his family.
But if you know me, you know I love an emotional story. Deeply moving narratives draw me in like few others can. I need to feel the emotions. That’s what makes everything real to me.
And because I want to explore something melancholic — yet touched by hope — I’d like to approach a concept where Naruto actually gets the chance to live with his parents.
