On this episode Alex is first joined by Canadian Comedian, 40 year veteran of the stand-up circuit and "That Canadian Guy" Glen Foster. They discuss the slap that was heard around the world when Will Smith slapped Chris Rock live at the Oscars when a joke was made about Jada Pinkett Smith. Glen tells Alex how this violence is a major problem in the comedy world, and how some people are starting to be scared away from comedy.
Next, Alex and Dr. Sylvain Charlebois, director of the agri-food analytics lab at Dalhousie University and a professor in food distribution and policy at Dalhousie University. They talk about Statistics Canada altering its monitoring of food prices, and how that is underrepresenting the true rate of inflation.
And finally, Alex speaks with Lorrie Goldstein of the Toronto Sun to breakdown the newly announced childcare deal between the province and federal government that could see childcare costs drop to as low as $10-a-day in the next few years, and who it will actually benefit.
