A young Brockville mother is in a desperate race against time to raise money for experimental treatment for her critically ill son Kaiden. He was diagnosed with Sandhoff disease, a rare genetic disorder. Costing approximately $10,000 per month, Kristen Sturgeon says their family’s insurance recently stopped covering the drug trial.
