Following the election in Alberta this past Tuesday, Jason Kenney, Leader of the United Conservative Party has a long legal battle ahead of him regarding the constitutional precedent of Ottawa’s carbon tax. 

Kenney will present against the federal carbon tax, which came into effect April 1 2019, which is likely to mirror the court challenges brought by Saskatchewan and Ontario,. They have questioned the constitutionality of the measure.
