With around 1.2 million patients visiting Canadian hospitals last year, patients have paid a hefty fine accumulated by lost wages and productivity while waiting for necessary treatment. According to a new study from the Frasier Institute, Canadian have lost 3.6 billion dollars annually, that is $2,925 per patient waiting for treatment in hospital waiting rooms. Alex sits down with Bacchus Barua, the director of the study to talk about the cost of hospital wait times.
