Scientists announced Tuesday that they have for the first time produced more energy in a fusion reaction than was used to ignite it — a major breakthrough in the decades-long quest to harness the process that powers the sun. What does this mean for our energy sector moving forward, and could this be a viable option to eventually replace fossil fuels? Alex spoke with Dr. Riccardo Betti, Chief Scientist at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics and Professor at the University of Rochester, to see how this all could work out.
