Show Notes

Employment lawyer Lior Samfiru discusses the legalities of some employers who have told employees that they will cut benefits, cancelling paid breaks and changing other employment terms in order to cope with the rise of minimum wage. This comes after employees at a Cobourg Tim Hortons say they have been told to sign a document acknowledging they are losing incentives as a result of the Ontario's minimum wage hike. The Tim Hortons in question is owned by the children of the chain's founders.
