S3 Ep 15(49) 3:15 - Finding Materialist Answers in #theDimAge

Stephen Kirschner and I resume our conversation from September 28th, 2020 (Episode 2:13.) We previously talked about post-modernism and its offshoots: post-structuralism, and post-colonialism, and what all of that entails. Please go back and start there, because this conversation will make a lot more sense. We continue our conversation on how to keep a balance between Materialism and Mysticism, and how cultures can grow away from the current system and prosper, while maintaining tradition and systems that work. I touch on having a balance in your life and how to direct your brain to center your conscious so that you don't lose your sense of self. This is the start of a new conversation, and I can't wait to continue this journey with you all. Thank you for following along this far. S3 Ep 13(47) 3:13 - The Bible: Part V - Wrestling with God & Starving to Death

Today, Chris and I touch on most of Chapters 25-35 in the Book of Genesis, in only the way that Chris Maness can bring to a conversation. Personally, I found myself flying through a myriad of emotions here, and I hope you feel that as well. I've started focusing less on the text itself, assuming that yall have begun following along in your own scripture. And if you haven't, I suggest you start. We never set out to make this a Bible Study Course. This is our way of hashing out a certain set of ideas, and I would advise picking up a copy of the Bible and familiarizing yourself with the words so that you can understand where we're coming from. As always, you can check out Chris on social media @Hollywood. Enjoy the show!

My friend Adam Lopez joins me for a discussion on what the "new normal" looks like these days following the election, and in a world seriously considering travel papers under the name "Vaccine Passports." We also talk about last year's election, virtue signaling on social media (and how to use it properly,) adapting to your job in a covid world, as well as messaging and marketing (one of the best talents you can ever learn.) I love people named Adam because they're always so witty and intelligent. It's just the nature of the beast. You can check Adam Lopez out on social media at @theadamlopez and check out his wonderful marketing at edgewood.marketing or theadamlopez.com This was a good one!

S3 Ep 1(35) 3:01 - ’Black-Pilled’ - The Fallout of Donald Trump

I've invited Dave Cutillo back to the show, in what will be the first installment of a multi-part series on the fallout of the Trump Presidency. Dave was a guest on episodes 2:4 and 2:15, and is as hardcore of a Trump supporter as I know. We've talked a lot about the blue pill and the red pill on this show, but not so much about the white pill (optimism,) and the black pill (cynicism,) and I thought it would be interesting to explore both sides of that spectrum. Dave is most definitely representing the black-pilled side, and I wanted to get to the bottom of why, and what our society might be able to do to get out of this nightmare. I'll leave it to you, the listeners, to decide which side you're inclined to fall on. We'll be looking at a few other opinions with some other folks, in the weeks to come. Enjoy!

We break down what has happened with the LP, in recent years as far as candidates, messaging, and pushing liberty-minded folks away. We get into what can be done to fix these issues, and what the liberty community can do to show support. There's nobody on the ground working harder to bring the liberty movement into the Libertarian Party, and I'm thankful her voice is changing the paradigm. S2 Ep 3(10) Straight Up 1.01: Defund the Government

In the wake of the George Floyd brutal homicide, millions around the world have taken to the streets in protest of police brutality. Nevermind that the coronavirus seems to have vanished from their minds, these are serious issues that folks are justifiably angry about. It is not okay that a man minding his own business, hurting no one, and committing no crime, was murdered by anyone, let alone the police. And while there are calls around the nation to "defund" the police, I doubt that will actually happen, and it misses the point entirely. The police are not the problem. They're simply the result of a much larger problem; a population addicted to government, and a government that enacts random legislation that must be enforced by all means by an army called the police. Victimless crimes are created that cause innocent and peaceful persons to have encounters with law enforcement that could be so easily prevented in the first place. You don't have to defund the police. Remove the legislation that creates crimes with no victims, effectively shrinking the police force as a result. Then defund the state. The state exists to protect life, liberty, and property, and nothing more. That is not how they operate today. Take away their source of revenue, and render them irrelevant. Today on Straight Up, I get into all of this, and explain how Voluntaryism and Agorism can lead to a more peaceful society. One that has a foundation in actual individual liberty and economic freedom. And I swear a lot. So enjoy :) --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app

S2 Ep 2(9) 2-02: The Anatomy of Comedy w/ Colin Cook

Colin Cook joins YTOM to humor me with some incredibly detailed, and fascinating, insights into the business and work ethic of stand-up comedy. You can check Colin out on social media @ ColinCookComedy on IG and Twitter. You should really check out his stuff! Warning: This is not an episode you want your kids listening to. And if you have a shitty sense of humor, you should probably stay away. At the end of the conversation, I reference a Conan episode with Norm MacDonald and Courtney Thorne-Smith.
