Frieren: Beyond Journey's End | Why This Story Hits So Hard

In this episode of After Hours Arc, I get into Frieren Season 1 — and this one surprised me right away.

This isn’t your typical fantasy setup. The story starts after everything is already over, and from there it takes a much slower, more reflective approach.

What stood out to me most is the tone. It’s calm, but there’s always something underneath it that keeps you locked in.

As the journey continues, the world opens up more, new characters come in, and you start to understand what this story is really about without it being forced.

The pacing, the atmosphere, and the way it handles its quieter moments all worked for me.

This is one that’s definitely worth checking out if you want something different.
