There's a myth that says that having an affiliate program is only for the cool kids with the right connections. Or to get affiliates, you have to burn your list promoting everyone else's stuff all year just to get your own affiliates. WRONG! When I started my first affiliate program, I knew absolutely NO ONE. In fact, no one on our team did. We weren't the cool kids. We didn't have dads who knew the right people. We started with nothing and in 2 years built a $12.6M affiliate program.
