My Aim Is True is influenced by a wide variety of genres, from punk, new wave, and British pub rock to elements of 1950s rock and roll, R&B, and rockabilly. In an interview, Costello stated that the songs are motivated solely by "revenge and guilt". Lisa Loeb joins Josh to discuss the impact and influence that this album had on her.
