Over half of Santana’s first album is composed of instrumental tracks, recorded by what started off as a free-form jam band. At the suggestion of manager Bill Graham, the band began writing more conventional songs like Evil Ways and Persuasion. Frankie joined us for Abraxas and returns to complete Santana’s appearances on T500.
