Straight Outta Compton was considered controversial upon its release due to the explicit lyrics that were seen as glorifying criminal behavior and degrading women. Despite little airplay, the album still went triple platinum. Rickey Smiley joins josh to discuss the first and only N.W.A. album to include Ice Cube, who left the group in 1989 due to a financial dispute before he went on to have a successful solo career.
