"Pending your interest" is the crucial phrase to remember when considering audition opportunities. Don't just jump at the chance without thinking if you're actually interested in the material, the role, and the people involved. Saying "I have an opportunity" instead of "I have an audition" can also help you approach the experience in a positive light. Remember, if you're not interested, it's okay to say NO. And in the current climate of the writer's strike, it's important to qualify your interest based on where you are in your career and whether you've worked with the casting director before. So, don't be desperate and grab at everything. Be intentional and make informed decisions.
