Yes, the climate is intense and frigid in the conversation around casting directors and the self-taping process for actors. Articles putting casting on blast have been in circulation. Conversations with working actors and developmental actors have been highly charged with a negative narrative looking for a scapegoat. Perhaps there is a little wisdom here on reframing our perspectives, where we as actors can be in control of our emotional beings and what we can do to help give respectable guidelines to the self-taping industry.
