Show Notes

A mom of four, life coach and host of "Mom on Purpose" podcast, Lara Johnson, talks about the non-profit she co-founded to help young terminally ill parents, and about her work with coaching mothers in which she teaches the most important lesson: to avoid the state of not-enoughness by celebrating your daily small achievements. She tells us about her mom Valerie who had five children but managed to pursue her careers as a nurse, and later a flight-attendant. We learn from Valerie to appreciate previous generations and forgive their flaws and continue improving with each generation; to have a sense of humor; to always show up; to follow your dreams; and most importantly: that being a good mother does not mean being a stay-at-home mom.
