No play at The Ageas Bowl as bad weather wiped out the third day of the 2nd Test between England and Pakistan. Bad light, rain and a wet outfield prevented Pakistan resuming on their overnight 223-9. Jonathan Agnew and Michael Vaughan reflect on what might have been and a surreal day in Southampton which involved squash, playing the banjo and someone singing ‘Sweet Caroline’. He discusses that famous fastest ball at the 2003 World Cup, shares memories of famous battles with Ricky Ponting, Sachin Tendulkar and Andrew Flintoff and he reveals how he thinks he’d be able to dismiss Virat Kohli these days.

Chasing 277, England looked all but beaten at 117-5, but pushed on by a Chris Woakes and Jos Buttler partnership of 139, they claimed a thrilling win by 3 wickets.
