Show Notes

In this episode, we go back to some overall thoughts on the last hard court tournament before we finally embark into the clay court season -- which we've been waiting for a long time now! Iga Swiatek got to extreme new heights, not only winning the Sunshine Double with the Miami Open title, but also reaching the World No. 1 ranking, completing a sweep of all WTA 1000 events of the season so far, and extending her winning streak to 17. And clay is her favourite surface, so it's now quite hard to imagine what could stop her now. On the men's side, Carlos Alcaraz keeps showing everyone that he's been worth the hype. We can always expect him to deliver, not only good tennis, but also good and consistent wins. At 18 years old, he is the youngest Miami Open champion ever, and 3rd youngest Masters 1000 champion overall. With th e clay season coming up, are we already considering him a Roland Garros contender?

On other news, we bid our early farewell to Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who announced his retirement from tennis at Roland Garros, the French major. Only fitting. What a phenomenal player.
