Yara Goldstein formed the nonprofit organization NeuroScaffold Foundation. Neuro-Spinal Scaffold is a device invented by InVivo Therapeutics, a pioneering biomaterials and biotechnology company with a focus on treatment of spinal cord injuries. The Scaffold would be implanted around the spine after an acute injury, potentially preventing lifelong paralysis. It would be used as treatment of complete (AIS A) Traumatic Acute Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). She shares the amazing fairy tale love story between the first two recipients of this revolutionary new treatment, providing hope for many who suffer from such debilitating traumas.
