Show Notes
Hamlet, award winning children's musician, tells the painful story of growing up without a mother and father, and how the rest of the adults in his life helped him to emotionally survive. The storyteller explains the pain of his parent's divorce, which occurred right after he was born, and of later on living on the streets as a teenager. Hamlet's memories of his uncle and other kind adults at family gatherings sustained him in his darkest childhood moments. He tells us that his work as an adult is, in part, a result of the pain of his childhood but, more importantly, an attempt to acknowledge all of his students and be a posItive adult role model for them.
