The Order of Festal Matins and Prime for the Great Feast of the Annunciation to the Theotokos by the Archangel Gabriel, when it occurs on the 2nd Monday of the Great Fast. The usual vigil of Great Compline with Matins is not done since the vigil was on a Sunday. Rather a more normal vigil of Vespers and Matins as might occur outside of Lent, here I've split the vigil according to normal lines with Vespers in the Evening and Matins in the Morning, but I've maintained the spirit of Vigil by placing nothing in between, allowing you to listen and pray along with both in sequence as a Vigil or separate as needed.As a reminder, there are now ways to support me in creating this podcast. The Order of Great Vespers for the Great Feast of the Annunciation to the Theotokos by the Archangel Gabriel, when it occurs on a Monday of the Great Fast. The Normal Order of Presanctified Liturgy with Vespers is not done, being still a Sunday; neither is the usual vigil of Great Compline with Matins appointed. I just wanted to update you on my progress so far. For any familiar with the Gregorian Feed, you'll know that I have tended not to do much on weekends since the work is rather grueling throughout the week and since most people have some way to celebrate on Sundays anyway.I am trying to extend more as I move through the Revised Julian, however, as you may have noticed towards the end of what was recorded for Vespers released earlier today, my voice appears to be going. I want to save what I can for the coming Great Feast of the Annunciation and for the weekdays coming. So I won't be preparing anything for Sunday morning this week or next week, as I'll actually be away next week. I also will not be adding any Canons of Saints to the Order of Great Compline this week. My coming journey is limiting my time and I am prioritizing Vespers and Matins.
