Mayon, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, has been under Alert Level 3 since June 8, which means that an eruption is possible within days or weeks. Meanwhile, Taal and Kanlaon Volcanoes are also under Alert Level 1. Therefore, we have 3 volcanoes showing signs of unrest — all at the same time. We asked volcanologists to help us understand why this is so.
