He started looking for instruments to create a bridge between instrumental and electronic music. Welcome to a unique find by our label manager: Sergio Tee’s live set With love… from iT. This mix set contains some of the biggest tunes from disco iT. The famous Amsterdam club that opened on September 7, 1989, and closed in 2002.Many requests were sent to Sergio to do a special after two incredible live streams at Club Mystique Amsterdam. So he decided to to a live stream with only iT classics. He selected records you don’t hear anymore. It became an hour with the best tunes from then.A total of eighteen tracks were recorded, and the mix set was touched up due to the bad quality. The story is that this set is ripped from the live stream and touched up in the studio. “At first, there was no plan to record the set. I prepared something, and I just played this set. That evening around sixty people were watching the show, but the day after the live stream was viewed by thousands,” said Sergio Tee. “And then, the idea came up to rip the audio and editing it. I was amazed by the sound quality, though. I mean, I really expected it was terrible quality and unuseful. Sebastiaan grew up an ambitious teenager with a taste for the eclectic and a talent for mixing. As the local go-to guy for music, he became his own record label and found a creative way to expand his record collection and fund his first turntables. In the meantime, he took on a job at the local record store, helping customers that would one day be some of the world's most popular DJ's. Those were the early steps of an impressive career and the first signs of Sebastiaan's inner entrepreneur. His intelligent trades and determined mind would be the foundation for many big things ahead.Fast forward twenty years and Sebastiaan looks back on a career as one of the most successful business persons in The Netherlands, setting up more than twenty companies. However, despite his success, he led a stressful and unhappy life. 2010 brought a turning point when he ended up in the hospital with serious health issues. That very moment, he knew a change was coming. And found that music was still on his side. Besides selling his companies and traveling the globe to share his story – building a foundation to his Redesign book - he took a deeper dive back into music. He set his mind to it, rediscovered the decks and locked himself up in the studio, coached by many industry pro's - all to recapture the art of music.Eager to build an active community of like-minded music lovers, he launched his very own Redesign Records in 2015. It became the home to many of the scene's rising talents and heroes, as well as being an outlet for his own originals. Clocking up more than a million plays on Spotify, 'Super Me', 'Temple' and 'Money on the Table' were given a warm welcome by the next generation of music lovers – carrying a sound that belongs nowhere else but on today's dance floors, supported by fellow DJ producers, such as Don Diablo, Martin Garrix, and Zonderling.With electronic dance music woven into his DNA, it's a second nature for Sebastiaan to share his vision on what good music sounds like.
