Samsungs new Digital Home Key feature, now available in select regions, allows users to unlock their front doors with a simple tap or by walking up to them using their Galaxy phones. The feature, which runs on the new Aliro smart home standard, uses near-field communication for quick taps and ultra-wideband tech for hands-free access. Smart homeowners can ditch physical keys for seamless entry tied to their phones, with setup through the SmartThings app and Matter support for broader smart lock compatibility. The feature is currently available on select Galaxy Z Fold four and newer, plus S twenty-two Ultra and later devices, with full ultra-wideband coming in April. Aqaras U four hundred lock is already Aliro-ready as one of the first options, and Samsung also added American Airlines boarding passes to the wallet for easier travel.
