Mozillas Firefox browser is set to offer a free VPN service with its upcoming update, version 149. Initially available in the US, UK, France, and Germany, this in-browser tool will provide over 50GB of data monthly. While free VPNs often raise safety concerns, Mozillas reputation may alleviate some worries. However, no security audits or certifications have been announced yet. Meanwhile, Proton VPNs basic plan is currently the top free choice, but Firefoxs version is yet to be evaluated.
