Deborah Meaden is a British businesswoman and TV personality who ran a family holiday business, before completing a management buyout, but is now best known for her appearances on the BBC Two business programme Dragons' Den. Peter Michael McCartney , known professionally as Mike McGear, is an English performing artist and photographer who was a member of the groups The Scaffold and Grimms. McCartney was a photographer during his entire musical career and has continued with photography since then. Beatles' manager Brian Epstein nicknamed him "Flash Harry" in the early 1960s because he was always taking pictures with a flashgun. He has published books of pictures that he took of the Beatles backstage and on tour, and in 2008 brought out a limited edition book of photos he took spontaneously backstage at Live8. In 2005, McCartney premiered and exhibited a collection of photographs that he had taken in the 1960s, called "Mike McCartney's Liverpool Life", both in Liverpool and other venues, such as The Provincial Museum of Alberta. Sir Timothy Smit KBE is a Dutch-born British businessman, famous for his work on the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, and the Charlestown Shipwreck & Treasure Centre, all in Cornwall, England. He studied archaeology and anthropology at Durham and worked as an archaeologist before taking an unexpected leap into the music business, working as both a songwriter and producer receiving seven platinum and gold discs. In 1987 he moved with his family to Cornwall and became involved with Rob Poole, John Nelson and The Lost Gardens of Heligan. During his time at Heligan, Smit wrote a popular book about the project. Later he dreamt up and then created the Eden Project, near St Austell, an £80 million initiative to build two transparent biomes in an old china clay pit near the village of Bodelva. Lucinda Riley is an Irish author of popular historical fiction and a former actress. Riley spent the first few years of her life in the village of Drumbeg near Belfast before moving to England. She moved to London at 14 to attend to a specialist drama and ballet school. At 16 she got her first major television role in the BBC adaptation of The Story of the Treasure Seekers, followed shortly afterwards by a memorable guest role in Auf Wiedersehen Pet. She remained a working actress for the next seven years, also marrying, but her career was interrupted by a long bout of mononucleosis at age 23. This caused her to turn to writing, and her first novel Lovers and Players was published in 1992. In 2016 producer Raffaella De Laurentiis purchased the television rights to her six-novel series The Seven Sisters. She was the president of Ingenious Designs, LLC, and appeared regularly on the U.S. television shopping channel HSN until her departure in late 2018. Brooke Shields is an American actress and model. She was initially a child model and gained critical acclaim at age 12 for her leading role in Louis Malle's film Pretty Baby. Brooke garnered widespread notoriety in the role, and she continued to model into her late teenage years and starred in several dramas in the 1980s, including The Blue Lagoon (1980), and Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981). Brooke Shields suspended her career as a model to attend Princeton University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Romance Languages. In the 1990s returned to acting and appeared in minor roles in films. Grayson Perry is a contemporary artist, writer and broadcaster. He is known for his ceramic vases, tapestries and cross-dressing, as well as his observations of the contemporary art scene, and for dissecting British "prejudices, fashions and foibles". Perry's vases have classical forms and are decorated in bright colours, depicting subjects at odds with their attractive appearance. There is a strong autobiographical element in his work, in which images of Perry as "Claire", his female alter-ego, and "Alan Measles", his childhood teddy bear, often appear. Sharleen Spiteri is a Scottish recording artist and songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland. She is the lead singer of the rock band Texas. Dame Emma Thompson DBE is a British actress, screenwriter, activist, author and comedian. Peter Asher, is an English guitarist, singer, manager and record producer. He came to prominence in the 1960s as a member of the pop music vocal duo Peter and Gordon before going on to a successful career as a manager and record producer. As of 2018, he tours alongside Jeremy Clyde of Chad and Jeremy in a new duo entitled Peter and Jeremy, where they perform hits from both of their respective catalogues. In 2019, Asher published a book The Beatles from A to Zed about his personal reminiscences about the band. Lipman was born in Hull, East Yorkshire, England, the daughter of Maurice Julius Lipman and Zelma Pearlman. She attended Newland School for Girls in Hull, and became interested in performing as a youth; Lipman performed in school shows. Her first performances at home included impersonations of Alma Cogan; and was encouraged into an acting career by her mother, who used to take her to the pantomime and push her onto the stage. Lipman trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Richard Marx is an American adult contemporary and pop/rock singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer. His self-titled debut album went triple-platinum in 1987, and his first single, "Don’t Mean Nothing", reached number three in the charts. Between 1987 and 1994, he had 14 Top 20 hits, including three number one singles; his first seven singles all reached the Top Five. His singles during the late 1980s and 1990s included "Endless Summer Nights", "Hold On to the Nights", "Right Here Waiting", "Now and Forever", "Hazard", and "At the Beginning" with Donna Lewis. Ronnie Wood is an English musician, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, artist, author and radio personality best known as a member of the Rolling Stones since 1975, as well as a member of Faces and the Jeff Beck Group. Wood began his career in 1964, when he joined the Birds group the Creation for a short time. He joined the Jeff Beck Group in 1967 as a bass player. The group split in 1969, and Wood departed along with lead vocalist Rod Stewart to join former Small Faces members Ronnie Lane, Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones in a new group named Faces. The group found great success in the UK and mainland Europe, t As the group began to split he began several solo projects, eventually recording his first solo LP, I've Got My Own Album to Do, in 1974. The album featured bandmate McLagan as well as former Beatle George Harrison and Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones, a longtime friend of Wood. Lulu Kennedy-Cairns, best known as Lulu, is a Scottish singer, actress, television personality and businesswoman. She is noted for her powerful singing voice. She is internationally known, but especially by UK audiences in the 1960s. Later in her career she had hits internationally with "To Sir with Love" from the 1967 film of the same name and with the title song to the 1974 James Bond film The Man with the Golden Gun. In European countries, she is also widely known for her Eurovision Song Contest 1969 winning entry "Boom Bang-a-Bang", and in the UK for her 1964 hit "Shout", which was performed at the closing ceremony of the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Lulu was born in Lennoxtown, Stirlingshire, and grew up in Dennistoun, Glasgow, where she attended Thomson Street Primary School and Onslow Drive School. She lived in Gallowgate for a while before moving to Garfield Street, Dennistoun. At the age of 12 or 13, she and her manager approached a band called the Bellrocks seeking stage experience as a singer. She appeared with them every Saturday night: Alex Thomson, the group's bass player, has reported that even then her voice was remarkable. In 1964, under the wing of Marion Massey, she was signed to Decca Records. When she was only fifteen, her version of the Isley Brothers' "Shout", credited to 'Lulu & the Luvvers' and delivered in a raucous but mature voice, peaked at no. 7 on the UK charts. Massey guided her career for more than 25 years, for most of which time they were partners in business, and Massey's husband Mark produced some of Lulu's recordings. After the success of "Shout", Lulu's next charting single was "Leave A Little Love" in 1965, which returned her to the UK Top Ten. Her next record, "Try to Understand", made the Top 40. Later that year she guested on the cover version of the Dan Hartman song "Relight My Fire", with boy band Take That. The single reached no. 1 on the UK Singles Chart and Lulu appeared as Take That's supporting act on their 1994 tour. At this time she also appeared as an unhappy public relations client of Edina Monsoon in two episodes of the BBC television programme Absolutely Fabulous and teamed with French and Saunders many times, including their send up of the Spice Girls (the Sugar Lumps) for Comic Relief in 1997, when she took the role of "Baby Spice", mimicking Emma Bunton. Lenny’s work stretches from classical theatre to arena tours, music to film, Comic Relief to studying a PhD on the role of people of colour in the media. He continues to balance comedy, drama, activism and entertainment on radio, TV and live. Since bursting onto our screens as winner of New Faces, Sir Lenny Henry has been firmly established as one Britain’s most well known comedians. From Tiswas to Shakespeare via singing the Blues - Sir Lenny Henry is a diverse and well loved comedian and sometime actor. Best known as co-founder of Comic Relief, Sir Lenny Henry has won numerous awards, including Lifetime Achievement at the National Comedy Awards, and a Special Award from BAFTA. Working his way around working men’s clubs, and eventually gaining some recognition in the form of the New Faces talent show in 1975, Lenny enjoyed his TV breakthrough in LWTs sitcom The Fosters – the UK’s first comedy series featuring predominantly black performers. Lenny then made his mark on Tiswas before progressing to sketch show Three of a Kind alongside Tracy Ullman and David Copperfield. But it wasn’t until he landed his own vehicle that his best-known comic creations emerged in the forms of Delbert Wilkins and the one man sex machine Theophilus P Wildebeest. It established Lenny as a versatile comic pioneer, as comfortable with sketches and standup as he was with sitcoms, musical comedy and impressions. Lenny’s career went on to include more sketch series, Christmas specials, his own comedy series, Chef!, and a Hollywood debut in Disney’s True Identity. Returning to Britain he starred in the hard-hitting drama Alive and Kicking with Robbie Coltrane - winning a Golden Nymph Award at the Monte Carlo Television Festival, as well as the acclaimed Hope And Glory, based on the real-life work of headteacher William Atkinson. Lenny has also developed another string to his bow with his love of Shakespeare; treading the boards to great acclaim as Othello, leading to other critically praised stage roles in Fences and The Comedy of Errors. As well known as his performing is Lenny’s tireless campaigning work. One of the co-founders of Comic Relief he has travelled the world seeing the charity’s work first hand and has been a part of every event the organisations has staged. He is also a vocal campaigner for higher profile roles for BAME people in the media, including undertaking a PhD on the subject. Britain’s best-loved gardener Alan Titchmarsh is the definitive voice on all things botanical. Not only an expert gardener and horticulturalist, Alan is well known for his illustrious success as a journalist, author, presenter and television personality. The recipient of four honorary degrees, he holds the title of Vice-President of the Royal Horticultural Society and has been awarded a Victoria Medal of Honour and an MBE in the 2000 New Years’ Honours list. Born and brought up on the edge of Ilkley Moor in Yorkshire, Alan left school at fifteen to became an apprentice gardener in the local nursery. Quickly becoming engrossed with all things botanical, he then trained at trained at Hertfordshire College of Horticulture and the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew. His first appearance on screen was in 1979, reporting on a plague of greenfly that had invaded the seaside town of Margate. By 1986, Alan was presenting BBC Breakfast Time and BBC Manchester’s Open Air and since then, his profile as a presenter has taken him from Pebble Mill at One via Gardeners’ World to his own chat show. He maintains his gardening passion with programmes including Love Your Garden and Britain's Best Gardens, and his long-running coverage of the infamous Chelsea Flower Show. His own daytime show on ITV, The Alan Titchmarsh Show, featured a combination of music, the arts and conversation, and he presents his own radio show on Classic FM on Saturday mornings. Aside from his work as a charismatic presenter, Alan has authored over 50 books about gardening including the fastest- selling gardening book of all time, How to be a Gardener Book 1: Back to Basics, along with eight novels, four volumes of memoirs, a miscellany celebrating England and Englishness and a Christmas anthology. He writes for BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine, and is the gardening correspondent for the Daily Express and Sunday Express. In 1997 Alan was named “Yorkshire Man of the Year”. He was appointed MBE in the 2000 New Year Honours List, and a Deputy Lieutenant of the County of Hampshire in 2001, when he was also immortalised by Madame Tussaud’s. In 2004 he received the Victoria Medal of Honour, the highest accolade in the British gardening world, and in 2009 he was made a Vice President of the Royal Horticultural Society. He is patron or president of over 50 charities. Alan lives in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, with his wife in an old farmhouse with a four acre garden. Fran Drescher is an American actress, producer, writer and comedian, best known for her brilliant New York accent and starring role in the TV sitcom The Nanny. Since appearing in Saturday Night Fever, she has starred in several Hollywood films, penned two books and founded the Cancer Awareness Group, Cancer Schmancer. Born Francine Joy Drescher in Flushing, Queens, Fran Drescher has had an affinity for acting since joining the drama club at her High School. As well as meeting her future husband at the Drama club, she built her confidence to enter the 1973 Miss Teen New York pageant. Despite coming second place, Fran used the opportunity to reach out to talent agents in the City, telling them she’d won first place to pitch herself as a client. After a brief stint in hairdressing after graduation, Fran landed her first major role as Connie in 1977′s smash film Saturday Night Fever. Multiple roles followed in films such as The Hollywood Knights, The Big Picture, UHF, and This Is Spinal Tap, but she is best known as the " 'Mary Poppins' from Queens" in her starring role "Fran Fine" in The Nanny, which earned her two Emmy nominations as Best Actress in a Comedy Series. More recently, she has developed and starred in the sitcoms Living with Fran and Happily Divorced, both created with her ex-husband and offering a comic take on their divorce. As well as starring on the screen, Fran has appeared on Broadway in Cinderella and on stage for Nora Ephron’s Love, Loss, and What I Wore. She is also the author of two memoirs, Enter Whining and Cancer Schmancer, the latter about her experience of being diagnosed with and beating uterine cancer. Since publication, Fran has founded the Cancer Awareness Group ‘Cancer Schmancer’ and uses her social media to advocate for healthcare and LGBT rights. Fran recently celebrated 20 years free of cancer by organising a free virtual cabaret concert on Cancer Schmancer. Praised by the New York Times for his “genuine originality,” Rufus Wainwright has established himself as one of the great male vocalists and songwriters of his generation. The New York-born, Montreal-raised singer songwriter has released countless studio albums, three DVDs, and three live albums, including the fantastic Grammy nominated Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall, which captured his celebrated Judy Garland tribute performance at the London Palladium in 2007, and the album Release The Stars which went Gold in Canada and the UK. His new album Unfollow the Rules – his ninth with original material — was released on 10 July 2020. Wainwright has received Juno Awards for Best Alternative Album in 1999 and 2002 for Rufus Wainwright and Poses, respectively, and nominations for his albums Want Two (2005)and Release the Stars (2008). He was nominated for Songwriter of the Year in 2008 for his Release the Stars album. He also composed the original music for choreographer Stephen Petronio’s work BLOOM which has toured across the country. Musically Rufus has collaborated with artists including Elton John, David Byrne, Boy George, Joni Mitchell, Pet Shop Boys and producer Mark Ronson among others. He collaborated on the title track of Robbie Williams’ latest album, Swings Both Ways, which was co-written with renowned musician and producer Guy Chambers and sung as a duet between Rufus and Robbie. In addition to being a celebrated contemporary pop singer, Rufus has made a name for himself in the classical world. His much acclaimed first opera, titled Prima Donna, premiered at the Manchester International Festival in July 2009. The opera was subsequently performed in London at Sadler’s Wells in April 2010, in Toronto at the Luminato Festival in June 2010 and at the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House in February 2012. Phil Rosenthal found success as the creator and Executive Producer of “Everybody Loves Raymond.” He is currently host and creator of Netflix’s “Somebody Feed Phil,” an unscripted documentary series on Netflix, which combines his love of food and travel with his unique brand of humour. Rosenthal was born in Queens, New York and moved with his parents and brother to New City, New York in Rockland County, where he was raised. He attended Clarkstown North High School where he became very active in the school's drama club, Cue N Curtain, and in theatre. Rosenthal graduated from Clarkstown North in 1977. After graduating from Hofstra University on Long Island, where he majored in theater, he embarked on a career as an actor, writer and director in New York City. In 1989, he relocated to Los Angeles. Rosenthal’s early writing credits include the series “Down the Shore” and “Coach.” In 1995, Rosenthal created the hit CBS comedy, “Everybody Loves Raymond,” which premiered in 1996. He was the Showrunner/ Executive Producer for all nine years of the show’s very successful run, which ended in 2005. During its original run, “Everybody Loves Raymond” was nominated for over 70 Emmy awards, and won 15, including two for Best Comedy Series in 2003 and 2005. Rosenthal won the 2002 Writers Guild Award for Excellence in Television Writing for his “Everybody Loves Raymond” script, “Italy.” The show was co-produced by Ray Romano, and was based in part on Romano's comedy material. Rosenthal's wife, actress Monica Horan, played the role of Amy MacDougall-Barone, the off-and-on girlfriend (wife after season 7) of Robert Barone (Brad Garrett) in the series. It was Rosenthal and Romano who decided to retire the series over the objections or reservations of the other cast members. Rosenthal wrote or co-wrote twenty-one episodes of the series. Amy Wadge is a Grammy-winning English singer and songwriter. She has co-written with numerous artists including Janelle Monáe, James Blunt, Labrinth, Niall Horan, Dua Lipa and Jessie Ware, to name just a few. She is best known for her long standing writing partnership with Ed Sheeran, most notably on the US and UK number one ‘Thinking Out Loud’, from the triple Grammy-nominated album ‘X’. Born on the 22 December 1975 in Backwell, a small village outside Bristol, Amy grew up listening to Elton John, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor. On her 11th birthday she was given a guitar and taught herself to play Tracy Chapman’s debut album, starting a lifelong affinity for the guitar and creating music. Whilst at school she started gigging in and around Bristol and got signed to a record label aged just 14. Having moved from her hometown of Bristol to study at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Amy quickly became part of the dynamic Welsh music scene. She twice won the award for Best Female Artist at the Welsh Music Awards, ahead of Charlotte Church and Cerys Matthews respectively. Amy has toured the length and breadth of the UK, across Europe, in the US and Down Under, releasing five solo albums, various EPs and three collaborative albums with other artists along the way. Her biggest success has come from her long term writing partnership with Ed Sheeran, who she’s known since he was 17. Together they co-wrote his early EP, ‘Songs I Wrote With Amy’ and a number of other songs including, Gold Rush, which featured on the deluxe edition of Ed's, multi-million selling, debut album, +, (Plus). Their biggest song written together is without a doubt ‘Thinking Out Loud’, the third single from Ed’s second album, the triple Grammy nominated, X, (pronounced Multiply). The track went platinum in November 2014 after weeks at No.1 in the UK chart. In June 2015, it became the first track ever in the history of the UK Charts to remain in the top 40 for a whole year. In February 2016, Thinking Out Loud won two Grammys at the 58th Recording Academy Awards Ceremony, for ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Best Pop Solo Performance’. To date, it has sold over twelve million copies worldwide, has been viewed 1.25 billion time on YouTube and streamed over a billion times on Spotify. Christopher Kenneth Biggins is an English actor and television presenter. He is best known for his role as Lukewarm in the BBC sitcom Porridge, one of the most famous British comedy series starring Ronnie Barker. Born on 16th December 1948 in Oldham in Lancashire, Christopher was raised in Salisbury in Wiltshire. He started his training at Salisbury Repertory Theatre and later at Bristol Old Vic as a prelude to his first West End appearance – creating the role of Head Jumbly in The Owl and The Pussycat Went to Sea. Christopher has also taken part in a successful run of The Play What I Wrote; directed by Kenneth Branagh; and as a regular guest as The Narrator in the National Tour of The Rocky Horror Show. Since the 70s, he has been an ever-present feature of TV output. From television comedy dramas such as Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? and Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, to BBC’s Poldark (1977), Nero and, I Claudius. On children's television, he had a regular role as department store owner Adam Painting in the children's television programme Rentaghost (1978–1983) and also played Reverend Whiting in Southern Television's Brendon Chase, produced in 1980. In the early 1980s he hosted children's game show On Safari, which had a jungle-themed studio set. He was the subject of This Is Your Life in 1999, when he was surprised by Michael Aspel at the Theatre Royal, Brighton. Christopher also managed to fit in a year with The Royal Shakespeare Company appearing in London Assurance with Judi Dench and Donald Sinden. Other theatre work includes a National tour of Side by Side BY Sondheim, Beyond The Fringe, A Touch of Spring and more recently Cluedo and On Approval. In the summer of 1990 Christopher played and sang the role of Herod in Jesus Christ Superstar at London’s Barbican Theatre. The public crowned him King Of The Jungle in the seventh series of I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here. He’s an expert in the history of pantomime and his career has seen him playing dames, loveable rogues, and of course, himself! Robert Lindsay is a stage and TV actor, best known for his role as Ben Harper in My Family, a role he played for over a decade. After leaving school, Lindsey studied drama at Clarendon College in Nottingham, intending to become a drama teacher, however friends encouraged him to apply to RADA, which he did and was accepted. He rose to prominence as Jakey Smith in ITV comedy series Get Some In! (1975-1977), followed by the role of Wolfie Smith in BBC Sitcom Citizen Smith (1977-1980). Lindsey also played several roles in the BBC Shakespeare series in the early 1980s, including Fabian in Twelfth Night and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, and went on to make several appearances with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Lindsay went on to be successful in the West End and on Broadway; his role as Bill Snibson in the 1984 revival of Me and My Girls won him an Olivier Award and a Tony Award. He starred in several Channel 4 comedies throughout the 1990s, including Nightingales with David Thelfall and James Ellis, and Jakes Progress with Julie Walters. His longest running role is that of Ben Harper in the BBC sitcom my family, which he played from 2000 to 2011, opposite Zoe Wanamaker. Lindsay went on to star in British sitcom Spy (2011-2012), and many theatre credits including; the UK premiere of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Savoy Theatre (2014), The Lion in Winter at the Theatre Royal opposite Joanna Lumley (2011), and the role of late cinematographer Jack Cardiff in Terry Johnson’s play Prism (2017). In 2019, Lindsay starred as King John in Disney’s Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, opposite Angelina Jolie, Michelle Pfeiffer and Chiwetel Ejifor. Elaine Paige joins Twiggy today for a cup of Tea! Elaine Paige OBE (born 5 March 1948) is a singer and actress, best known for her work in musical theatre. Elaine attended the Aida Foster Theatre School, making her first professional appearance on stage in 1964, at the age of 16. Her appearance in the 1968 production of Hair marked her West End debut. Elaine was selected to play Eva Perón in the first production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita in 1978, which brought her to the attention of the broader public. For this role, she won the Laurence Olivier Award for Performance of the Year in a musical. She originated the role of Grizabella in Cats and had a Top 10 hit with Memory, a song from the show. In 1985, Elaine released I Know Him So Well with BarbaraDickson from the musical Chess, which remains the biggest-selling record by a female duo. She then appeared in the original stage production of Chess, followed by a starring role in Anything Goes which she also co-produced. Paige made her Broadway debutin Sunset Boulevard in 1996, playing the lead role of Norma Desmond. She appeared in The King and I from 2000 to 2001, and six years later she returned to the West End stage in The Drowsy Chaperone. In addition to being nominated for five Laurence Olivier Awards, Elaine has won many other awards for her theatre roles, and is often referred to as “the First Lady of British Musical Theatre.” She has released 22 solo albums, of which eight were consecutively certified gold and another four multi-platinum. Since 2004 she has hosted her own show on BBC Radio 2 called Elaine Paige on Sunday. In 2014, Elaine celebrated her 50 years in show business with a Farewell tour, including a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Elaine is active in charity work – she is the Vice President of the Children’s Trust, a charity for children with brain injuries. Earlier this year she purchased a number of trees for the Woodland Trust’s Heartwood Forest project. Elaine is still hosting her popular radio show during lockdown. Gyles Brandreth is a writer, broadcaster, actor, former MP and Lord Commissioner of the Treasury, now Chancellor of the University of Chester and one of Britain's most loved public figures. Lynda LaPlante joins Twiggy today for a cup of Tea! Born and brought up in Liverpool, Lynda trained for the stage at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). After finishing her studies, and using the stage name Lynda Marchal, she appeared with the Royal Shakespeare Company in a variety of productions, as well as securing roles in popular television series, such as Z-Cars, The Sweeney, The Professionals and Bergerac. Her breakthrough as a writer came in 1983 when she created the six-part robbery series Widows for Thames Television. This was followed by a debut novel, The Legacy, published in 1987, which received both critical and best-seller success. Her second, third and fourth novels - The Talisman (1987), Bella Mafia (1990) and Entwined (1993) - also became best sellers. In 1990, Lynda wrote her most successful television series, Prime Suspect, which starred Helen Mirren as DCI Jane Tennison. The series aired in the UK as well as on PBS in the USA (as part of the anthology program Mystery!), and won an Edgar Award from the Mystery Writers of America. Lynda also wrote the TV series The Governor (ITV 1995-1996), Killer Net (Channel 4, 1998), Trial & Retribution (ITV 1997), Mind Games (ITV 2001) and The Commander (ITV), all of which scored significant viewer figures. During this period, she also released the Cold series of books: Cold Shoulder, Cold Blood and Cold Heart, followed by Sleeping Cruelty (2000) - adding to her list of best sellers. Lynda was awarded a CBE in the 2008 Queen's Birthday Honours List for services to Literature, Drama and to Charity, and in 2009 she was inducted into the Crime Thriller Awards Hall of Fame. In April 2013, Lynda was awarded an honorary fellowship by the Forensic Science Society.
