The Morning Poem
This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes As an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond. THE MORNING POEM
I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times…In life after life, in age after age, forever. My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,In life after life, in age after age, forever.Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, its age-old pain,Its ancient tale of being apart or together. As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,Clad in the light of a pole-star piercing the darkness of time:You become an image of what is remembered forever. You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount. At the heart of time, love of one for another. We have played alongside millions of lovers, shared in the sameShy sweetness of meeting, the same distressful tears of farewell-Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in youThe love of all man’s days both past and forever:Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life. The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours –And the songs of every poet past and forever. The Eternal Presence of Love
Love itself does not hurt. It is the illusion of its absence that brings pain. Love is always here, always flowing, seen or unseen. The paradox is that we grieve for what has never left. THE MORNING POEM
Once a man came to me and spoke for hours about 'His great visions of God,' he felt he was having. He asked me for confirmation, saying 'Are these wondrous dreams true?' I replied, 'How many goats do you have?' He looked surprised and said, 'I am speaking of sublime visions and you ask about goats?' And I spoke again, saying, 'Yes brother -- how many do you have?' 'Well, I have sixty two.' 'And how many wives?' Again he looked surprised, then said, 'Four.' 'How many rose bushes in your garden? How many children? Are your parents still alive? Do you feed the birds in winter?' And to all he answered. Then I said, 'You asked me if I thought your visions were true. I would say that they were if they made you become more human, more kind to every creature and plant that you knew.'" -- Hafiz Get full access to Tea and Zen - Threads at teaandzen.substack.com/subscribe In the quiet between heartbeats a whisper calls you home, you are not broken you are becoming. THE MORNING POEM
Waiting The song I came to singremains unsung to this day.I have spent my days in stringingand in unstringing my instrument. The time has not come true, the words have not been rightly set;only there is the agonyof wishing in my heart…..I have not seen his face, nor have I listened to his voice;only I have heard his gentle footstepsfrom the road before my house…..But the lamp has not been litand I cannot ask him into my house;I live in the hope of meeting with him;but this meeting is not yet. teaandzen.org Get full access to Tea and Zen - Threads at teaandzen.substack.com/subscribe In the quiet between heartbeats a whisper calls you home, you are not broken you are becoming. HOMECOMING
There is a sacred homecoming that unfolds when you return to yourself…..not one marked by grand gestures or external validation, but a quiet and profound awakening. It is the slow shedding of all that is not yours to carry…..the unraveling of false identities, the soft release of inherited burdens, the deep exhale after holding your breath for lifetimes. To come home to yourself is to remember that you were never truly lost. Even in the seasons of forgetting, even when you wandered far from your own soul’s voice, you remained……waiting, watching, holding sacred space for your own return. It is a divine invitation to step gently across the threshold of your own heart, to find within it a sanctuary untouched by time, always welcoming, always whole. Coming home means surrendering to the beauty of becoming, making peace with the unfinished, the imperfect, the unfolding mystery of who you are. It is a tender embrace of both your light and your shadow, a recognition that every part of you belongs. You need not prove, strive, or shape-shift to be worthy—you always were. Worthy of love. Worthy of joy. This path is not without its trials. It winds through dense forests of old conditioning, past echoes of voices that once defined you. But as you move through the illusion, (and anything that is not love, will always be an illusion appearing real) for love is the only truth. As you untangle yourself from all that is not true, clarity emerges. The noise fades. And in the sacred stillness, your own voice rises like a prayer. Home is not a place, nor a destination…..it is a remembering. A return to the eternal knowing that you belong to yourself. That you are enough. That you have always been whole. Forever Held
Take a break from what you are doing, find a space, cup of tea in hand, and dedicate the next ten minutes to Love. Please sit and remember in the well of your spiritual heart all love deep and abiding, and let it flow from there to all sentient beings where-ever they may be, that all beings everywhere be free from suffering. “May your heart be forever held in the embrace of light and love, guided by the whispers of eternal grace.” Nigel Lott teaandzen.org Get full access to Tea and Zen - Threads at teaandzen.substack.com/subscribe In the quiet between heartbeats a whisper calls you home, you are not broken you are becoming. The Sacred Weave of Creation
Can you see it? Emanating from the Source of all creation….Love…..the luminous thread that weaves thought, word, and deed into the grand tapestry of existence. Yet, in this process….if integrity does not guide the hand, if honor and courage do not steady the heart, if humility….deep and abiding…..is absent, then what is made is but a whisper in the void, fleeting and forgotten. True creation, the kind that breathes life, must be steeped in compassion and kindness. Without them, even the grandest works crumble into dust, their essence lost to the winds. Only when the soul moves with reverence does the harvest of creation fall upon fertile ground, blossoming into something eternal. The Sacred Gift of Life
Life is a miracle. It flows through everything….seen and unseen, great and small. It is in the pulse of our own hearts, in the quiet rhythm of the trees, in the endless dance of the ocean. It is in the moments of joy and sorrow, in the rising sun, in the laughter of a child, in the final breath of the old and the first breath of the new. To recognize the sanctity of life is to see its value in all forms. Every creature, every moment, every experience is part of something vast and beautiful. Life is not just about survival…..it is about presence, about connection. When we pause and truly see the world around us, we understand that everything is woven together, that every being has its place and purpose. Honoring life means treating it with care. It means recognizing the suffering of others as real and doing what we can to ease it. It means standing in awe of existence itself…not just in moments of wonder, but in the ordinary, in the simple act of breathing, in the gift of another day. Life is fleeting. It moves like water, always changing, always flowing forward. And because of this, it is precious. Each moment is a chance to love, to learn, to appreciate, to give. So let us hold life gently. Let us see its sacredness in ourselves and in others. Let us walk this earth with gratitude, knowing that to be alive….to truly be alive…..is the greatest blessing of all. Forgiveness Meditation
When we hold onto unforgiveness… or when forgiveness feels beyond our reach… we create a rift in the fullness of our hearts. In these moments, love remains veiled in the shadows, both within our own being and in our connections with others. There are times when people and situations appear nearly impossible to forgive, and our hearts may seem completely armored against the flow of love and healing. Yet, even in the face of these challenges, we are always free to open ourselves to the boundless possibility of healing and transformation. We have a sacred duty, not only to ourselves but to the living spirit, to do the inner work that keeps our hearts open in all grace. And remember: you are not called to forgive the act….only the actor. By taking responsibility for the openness of our own hearts, we set all others free in the process. The Profound Stillness of Truth
In the hustle of daily life, our minds are often filled with the clutter of thoughts, judgments, and preconceived notions. But in moments of deep stillness, all of this noise fades away, leaving only the pure essence of truth. This truth is not something to be grasped, analyzed, or controlled….it is something to be felt and experienced in its raw, unfiltered form. It is within this sacred silence, free from the interference of the mind, that we come closest to the divine. In this space, answers no longer matter; they lose their significance. What matters instead is the quiet reverence for the mystery of existence itself. It is here, in the profound stillness, that we discover a deeper connection to the world around us, and to the very essence of life. A JOURNEY OF HEALING
What I publish is the result of years of healing, a journey that, almost by osmosis, led me to explore both quantum mechanics and spirituality. These two fields, though seemingly unrelated, became vital tools in my process of self-healing. The techniques and practices I now support stem from this deep and ongoing exploration. Above all, my writings reflect the profound insights I’ve gained through this process. The wisdom that has emerged from these explorations has broadened my perspective on the full spectrum of human experience. It’s not just about healing the body or the mind….it’s about understanding and integrating the many layers of existence. Through Substack, I’ve found a platform to share pieces of my journey that I’ve never published before. While my blog may be small, the community it reaches is growing, and I’m honored to have over 8,000 followers from around the world tuning into my podcast. It’s a space where I can refine my thoughts and share them with those who resonate with this path of discovery. I don’t have a paid or free version, and would rather share all my work to whomever can be uplifted by it, I do however enjoy a donation or two. This is just the beginning. The more I dive into these realms, the more I realize there is always deeper wisdom to uncover, and I’m grateful to be able to share it with you all. Resonance and Tone in Communication
In both quantum theory and spiritual philosophy, there exists an intriguing connection between how we communicate and how energy vibrates and resonates within us and around us. The idea that "ultimately in communication it is the resonance and tone that we respond to" takes on a deeper meaning when explored through these lenses. From a quantum theory perspective, everything in the universe, including communication, can be seen as energy vibrating at different frequencies. Each word, gesture, or even silence, emits a particular resonance, a unique frequency. Quantum mechanics reveals that particles are not solid and fixed, but exist as wave-like probabilities, fluctuating and interacting with each other. Similarly, our communication, whether verbal or non-verbal, is not just about the words we speak but the energy and vibration they carry. The resonance of our tone—whether warm, harsh, or neutral….interacts with others' energy fields, creating an exchange of vibrations. Tone, then, is not simply the pitch or volume of our voice, but a manifestation of our internal state. It holds the power to influence the emotional atmosphere of a conversation, just as a tuning fork can bring harmony or disharmony to its surroundings. In quantum mechanics, the idea of "entanglement" suggests that particles can remain interconnected, even across vast distances. In the same way, our resonant tones can connect us at a deeply subtle level, influencing how we are understood and how we connect with others on a soul-deep level. From a spiritual viewpoint, the resonance of our communication is closely tied to our emotional and energetic vibrations. Spiritual teachings often emphasize the importance of mindfulness in speech, understanding that our words and their underlying tone can either uplift or harm. This idea aligns with the concept of the Law of Vibration, which suggests that everything, including human beings, is composed of energy vibrating at certain frequencies. When our tone is in harmony with our higher self and intentions, we naturally align with love, compassion, and understanding. On the other hand, a tone laden with negativity or aggression can create dissonance and conflict. In both quantum and spiritual terms, communication is an intricate dance of energies….one that transcends mere words. Resonance and tone, therefore, are far more than just vehicles for transmitting information. They are the means through which we connect, influence, and harmonize with the world and others around us. Whether we are aware of it or not, our internal state, reflected through the resonance and tone of our communication, is constantly shaping the reality we experience. nd all of it is called Love Nigel Lott teaandzen.org Meditation Sans Frontieres is a 501(c)(3) non profit charitable organization; contributions are tax-deductible as permitted by law. Communication and Conflict.
In relationships, conflict often arises not from current moment awareness, but from unresolved, long-held emotional patterns, from our past. As adults, we constantly move in and out of regressed emotional states….sometimes a little, sometimes a lot. These emotional regressions are often triggered by present moment situations, but the roots of the reaction often stretch back decades. When we're triggered by something a partner says or does, the intensity of the reaction may have little to do with the present and everything to do with old emotional wounds that are reawakened, having been embedded as energy in our system, from the past. This phenomenon, which is common in relationships, is what therapists often see in couples: a reaction to something in the moment that carries the emotional weight of unresolved experiences from many years ago. These old wounds….embedded deep in the nervous system….resurface, causing a distorted, often overblown response. This is why, when a person’s emotions seem disproportionate to a situation, it's usually because they are reacting to a deeply embedded experience from the past, triggered from within the present. In therapy, a key insight is to recognize that any strong emotional reaction has a historical lineage. This makes clear communication difficult, especially when painful emotions are triggered. When we speak from this place, we may struggle to articulate what we really want, both for ourselves and from our partners. Instead, we often project these feelings and misunderstandings onto the other person. As a result, the conversation becomes a mess, muddled by past hurts and unresolved emotions. To address this, one therapeutic approach is to work with individuals separately, providing each person with the space to work through their personal emotional baggage, often energetically. Assignments outside of therapy can help: tasks that involve safe and loving energy work, where individuals can release their pain in a way that doesn’t hurt the other person. This allows the relationship to be a source of healing, rather than a battleground for old wounds. Another vital insight is the nature of how we express pain. When we’re deeply triggered, we often dump our unresolved emotional pain onto those we love the most. This is because love mirrors back to us the most profound emotional experiences. The deeper the love, the more it taps into the pain that may have remained unaddressed for years. Love can trigger old suffering, but it also offers a path toward healing…..if we can approach it with awareness. When we look at behaviors like arrogance or rudeness, we often miss the underlying fear and grief that drives that behavior. These defensive patterns are mechanisms to mask pain and vulnerability. In essence, arrogance shields grief, and without addressing the underlying emotional turmoil, we risk repeating the cycle of conflict. One of the most important practices in communication, particularly when emotions run deep, is to recognize the limitations of spoken language. Words, while useful, can only express a fraction of what we truly feel. At times, the best way to communicate is through silence, allowing the heart to speak directly to another, unfiltered by words. Finally, it’s crucial to remember that every emotional experience we have belongs to us, not the other person. Whether it’s the joy of experiencing love or the conflict that emerges, in any relationship, all of these emotions are arising from within us. Conflict doesn’t exist to tear us apart….it’s an opportunity for deeper love and growth. When we can approach conflict with this understanding, we can navigate it in a way that brings us back to love, rather than further into separation. In sum, communication in relationships is complex, and conflict is an inevitable part of any close connection. Understanding that our emotional reactions are shaped by past experiences, and recognizing that our behavior often comes from a place of hidden fear or grief, can help us approach conflicts with more compassion and clarity. Ultimately, it’s not the conflict that defines us, but how we respond to it and the opportunity for healing it offers. A SACRED SPACE
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and right doing, there is a field I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about. Ideas, language, even the phrase each other doesn't make any sense”. Rumi One of my favorite and many others pieces of prose mysticism from Rumi. And to me, what he's saying there that beyond the ideas of right and wrong, which are always judgement words, there is a sacred space where the soul can meet in its truest form. It is a realm free from the judgments of the world, untouched by the constraints of moral codes. In this space, there are no divisions….no concepts of good or bad, just a pure connection to the divine and to all that exists. It is here, in this open field, that we transcend the ego and the need to defend our beliefs. We meet as one, free from the weight of ideas and distinctions that often cloud our understanding. When the soul rests in this sacred field, it merges with the expansive grace of the universe. In this place, words become irrelevant; they fall away, unable to capture the vastness of the experience. The soul is too full to articulate the depth of its union with all that is. The illusion of separation vanishes, and the concept of "each other" disappears, as there is only a singular, boundless presence. In this space, we are one with the divine, experiencing the fullness of life without the need for explanation or even thought. The spirit simply knows, and in this knowing, we are complete. Rooted in Compassion
Having strong beliefs and values is essential for guiding our lives. These principles shape our decisions, actions, and interactions with others. However, it's crucial that these beliefs are grounded in loving kindness and compassion. No matter how firm our values are, if they lack compassion and understanding, they fail to reflect the true essence of any matter. At their core, all beliefs must be rooted in love and compassion to truly resonate with truth. After all, this is the very essence of what the universe is wanting to create…LOVE It’s not just what we believe, but how we hold those beliefs that defines their impact on the world. A SACRED MOMENT
There is a sacred moment in every journey when the search must come to rest. It is only in this stillness, this quiet surrender, at that moment that we can open ourselves to the sacred forces at work around us. In letting go of our constant striving, we make space for the very thing we’ve longed for, to reveal itself. It’s not found through effort or desire, but through embracing the silence within. When we stop seeking, we can receive. The universe, or whatever higher power you believe in, speaks loudest in our moments of surrender. In stillness, we find the answers we’ve been searching for all along. LET GO LET LOVE
“We cannot rationalize our trauma out of existence. We can only release it, by feeling it fully, by crying it out, by letting the energy return to the flow. Like a baby, we must cry out, not just when the need arises, but whenever we are called to release the shadow that clouds our heart. The key to healing is not in the mind’s attempts to make sense of it all, but in the soul’s call to let go, to return to love.” Nigel Lott teaandzen.org Get full access to Tea and Zen - Threads at teaandzen.substack.com/subscribe In the quiet between heartbeats a whisper calls you home, you are not broken you are becoming. COURAGE-HOPE-FAITH
Even amidst chaos, dissonance, and the shadows that occasionally wrap around me, a deeper truth begins to unfurl. Simultaneously, the alchemy of existence, of all truth reveals itself….LOVE This is my faith. My hope. It has grown from the depths of experience, forged through a journey of pain and darkness I never thought I could survive—pain that surged like a storm at times, a wound so deep it felt as though it would never heal. But it was never about the why of the pain. The reason didn’t matter. What mattered was the truth that emerged from the darkness: within the deepest agony, I found a seed of transformation, waiting to bloom into light. I’ve learned this truth over and over: when you allow courage to rise in your chest, when you place your faith not in what is seen but in the unseen love of the universe, you can transcend the pain. Like an alchemist turning base metals into gold, the universe works its quiet magic when we trust it and surrender to it. With each passing moment, pain is transmuted into something else… something pure, something utterly sacred. In those moments of surrender, something wondrous occurs. Time and space shift, and in the space that opens between worlds, love flows through. Love is not some abstract ideal; it is the very substance of the universe, flowing through everything. All things, all souls, are connected in this vast sea of love. And when we surrender… when we let go… we return to it, beyond the illusion of our separateness. Hope springs eternal. This phrase didn’t originate with me, but it is an ancient truth, whispered by countless sages throughout history….a truth passed down like a sacred flame, flickering in the hearts of those who dared to believe. Hope is the breath before the storm. It’s the subtle prelude that stirs the soul to action, to rise and remember the light within. It’s the first step in the dance that moves us from fear to courage, from courage to faith. And when faith is born, it arrives like a gentle but unshakable force, reminding us that love is not something we need to seek. It is always present. It has never left us. Even when we are lost in the darkest forest of anger, fear, or grief, love remains. It is within us, woven into our very bones, waiting patiently for us to return. Love is the unbroken thread that ties us to the divine. It is the fire burning at the center of our being, even when we cannot see it. It calls us home, again and again, no matter how far we wander. And this return is not one of shame, but of grace. We return to love as if we never truly left. And we didn’t. We never did, for no matter how hard we try, love always remains. Whatever you hear, whatever you read….. transmute it all through the heart, let it be rinsed in Love. SERVICE AS SACRED UNION
When we open our hearts in service to another sentient being, we are not merely performing a worldly action, but participating in a divine act of spiritual connection. Through service, we are lifted beyond our perceived duality, recognizing the One that has always been present, beyond our imagined separateness. The moment we offer ourselves in service, we surrender to a higher calling…..one that invites us to transcend the illusion of separation and merge with the boundless love at the core of all life. In this sacred giving, we align with the sacred flow, a current as ancient as time itself. Service is a doorway to the beloved, an invitation to remember our true nature. As we open ourselves to another, the boundaries that once defined us….our identities, our separateness, our fears….begin to dissolve. In these moments, we are no longer "I" and "them," but united in the one sacred heart that beats within us all. The act of service becomes a prayer, an offering of love, where the lines between self and other blur and fade into the oneness of the divine. Through service, we are reminded of our interconnectedness, of the sacred presence that flows through every being. The more we serve with an open heart, the more we perceive that love is not a limited resource, but an infinite wellspring flowing abundantly from the Source, nourishing all who are open to receive. In giving from the heart, we receive not just gratitude or recognition, but the profound experience of touching the beloved within ourselves and others. In this sacred connection, this divine interplay, we discover that service is not about what we give, but what we awaken within ourselves. Every act of love, every moment of care, is an opportunity to attune to the sacred rhythm of the universe and connect with the higher Self that resides within us. As we open our hearts to another, we simultaneously open the gateway to the fullness of our own soul, realizing that we are both the giver and the receiver of the LOVE that binds all of creation. Service is the path that leads us back to the ONE, back to the realization that we are all expressions of one Source. As we give, we are reminded that in the great spiritual truth, there is no separation between "us" and "them." We are all emanations of the same eternal love, and every act of service is a reflection of the love that is ever-present, ever-giving, and ever-flowing within and through us all. Through service, we remember that in loving another, we are loving ourselves, and in loving ourselves, we are loving the ONE LOVE that resides in every being. Love is the fountain of life-giving water. No one and no thing can live without love. This expression varies according to the capacity of the receiver and the giver, and in its highest form, love is divinity. To love is to live. You cannot really live without love. The omnipotent laws of nature have this power in its divine potency pervading the universe. The right to strike at the chord of love only belongs to the brave and sturdy at heart. Essentially, love is self-communicative. Those who do not have it catch it from those who have it, for one cannot absorb love without making a response. The secret of true love is that it is unconquerable and irresistible. True love gathers power and spreads itself until it transforms everyone else. Humanity will attain a new mode of life through the unhampered interplay of pure love as it spreads from heart to heart. ANYTHING NOT ROOTED IN THE SOIL OF LOVE FLOWERS NOT.
A sacred truth imparted to me many years ago by my then principal teacher, my guru…Yogiraj Sat Gurunath Siddanath… among the many priceless gifts he bestowed upon me, this one remains etched in my heart: "Anything not rooted in the soil of love, flowers not." This simple yet profound message speaks to the very essence of life. Any thought, word, or action not anchored in love from its very inception cannot truly bloom. It cannot endure. It is destined to fail because it is not aligned with the most fundamental truth….the will of the universe, which is love. Any intention, whether thought, word, or deed, that arises without love at its core, and without its companions….kindness and compassion….pulls us away from the truth. It steers us away from the heart of creation. And like all that is false, it will ultimately fade into nothingness. For in the grand design of the universe, only love endures. It is the driving force of existence, and everything that is not rooted in love will ultimately perish, for it is not part of the eternal flow of creation. The universe is built to create love, and nothing else. Chasing Shadows
The pursuit of wealth, though often celebrated, is but a fleeting illusion, a mirage that tempts the soul but never truly quenches its thirst. No matter how much we acquire, no matter how many riches we accumulate, there is always a gnawing emptiness that lingers within us, whispering that something is missing. And why? Because we do not truly know what "enough" is. In our blind chase for more, we fail to recognize that what we seek can never be found in material things. At the heart of this insatiable desire lies a deeper longing, a yearning that mirrors the cravings of an addict. The alcoholic, the drug addict, and the one who chases wealth all seek the same thing….an attempt to fill a void, to heal a sense of separation from the divine. We look outside of ourselves for what can only be found within, attempting to bridge the gap between us and the divine, to restore our lost union with the infinite. The truth is, the divine resides within us, in the silent depths of our being. Love, the eternal and boundless force that connects all, already flows through us. But in our relentless search for fulfillment through wealth, we are led astray, further from the truth. Like an addiction, the pursuit of material wealth pulls us farther away from the very essence of what we seek… union with the divine, the awareness that we are already whole. Money, in its essence, is neither good nor evil. It is a tool, a means of exchange, but it is not the path to divinity. It will not bring us closer to the God we seek, nor to the love that we long for. For the secret lies within: we are what we are searching for. The love, the peace, the union we seek is not out there, but here, inside us. We only need to look inward to realize that we have always been ONE with it….all. ENERGY IN MOTION
There is an aspect of suffering that stems from the deep-rooted tendency to rationalize our pain. When we experience hurt or trauma, we seek to make sense of it in the mind—creating stories that help us fit the pieces together. The ego, in its wisdom, attempts to explain and categorize our wounds, believing that if it can understand the cause, the pain will dissolve. But this is an illusion. The truth is that the pain, the resonance of the experience, lingers far beyond the reach of reason. It is not the mind that heals the heart, but the body that holds the energy. The resonance of trauma…..the energetic imprint it leaves behind…..becomes embedded in the very fabric of our being. It enters the energy body first, then reverberates through our cells, and eventually seeps into the nervous system, leaving a subtle yet indelible mark. Over time, this unresolved energy accumulates, manifesting in some cases as physical illness or spiritual dissonance. In truth, the body is the keeper of memory, and all unresolved pain is stored within it until we find a way to release it…essentially to cry out our pain. From about the age of two, as we begin to develop cognition, we begin trying to make sense of our experiences. The emerging of our cognition and ego structures begin to think we can rationalize the pain away, unconsciously convincing ourselves that the energy of the experience will pass out from us this way. But this is a false comfort. Like a baby’s cry, which is not just a sound but a powerful vibration, the energy of trauma holds a certain resonance. A baby’s cry is not only a release of emotion; it is a cry-out to the universe, to clear the shadow from the energy body and restore the soul to its original state of love—its true frequency. We are born of this vibration: 528 Hz……the frequency of unconditional love. As we journey through life, these experiences—painful and unprocessed—collect in our energy field, creating distortions. Anger, fear, and grief form layers that veil our true nature. But it is always grief at the core. Grief is the deepest wound, the one that keeps us tethered to the past. It’s the wound from which all other emotional distortions spring. Fear and anger are but the surface manifestations of this buried grief. We walk through life carrying the weight of these unresolved energies, unaware of the toll they take on our body and soul. The ego believes it can overcome trauma by rationalizing it, by thinking its way out of the pain. But energy cannot be processed in this way. We cannot rationalize our trauma out of existence. We can only release it, by feeling it fully, by crying it out, by letting the energy return to the flow. Like a baby, we must cry out, not just when the need arises, but whenever we are called to release the shadow that clouds our heart. The key to healing is not in the mind’s attempts to make sense of it all, but in the soul’s call to let go, to return to love. Yet, many of us find it difficult to cry. We hold the grief, the anger, the fear, believing we must carry it. But the body does not lie, and eventually, the energy demands to be released. This is where the mystic practice of allowing the energy to surface comes in. Through deep inner work and spiritual practices, we can create space for the energy to move, to be expressed, to be released. And when we allow this process, we return to our original state—love, the true vibration of our being. The Peace Of Wild Things
When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. The Sacred Balance: Truth, Boundaries, and Love
In a world veiled by illusion and noise……where confusion masquerades as clarity and conflict often drowns out meaning—truth remains a light that awakens the soul. Yet when truth is delivered without care or held without compassion, it can wound more than it heals. For truth to become a vehicle of transformation, it must be carried gently…..contained within spiritual boundaries that shield our inner life, and infused with the harmonizing presence of love. Those who have walked the mystical path through the ages have known that truth is not always a comfort. It can liberate, yes…..but it can also unsettle, dismantle, and expose. When spoken without discernment, truth becomes a blade rather than a balm. This is why boundaries are essential…..not to divide, but to safeguard. They create the sacred space in which truth can be shared with grace and received with openness. They help us stay whole while engaging the world honestly. And then there is love. Love is not an addition to truth, but its essential companion. It is the frequency that softens what truth reveals. With love, boundaries become not fortresses, but sanctuaries. Truth becomes not a force of destruction, but of healing. Without love, truth can become harsh. Without love, boundaries may breed distance or fear. But when love holds both—when truth is offered with compassion and boundaries are drawn with wisdom…..we participate in something divine. We become messengers not only of insight, but of deep, sacred change. In these uncertain times, may we walk with clarity. May we speak with honesty, protect our spirit with care, and above all, move through the world in love. INTEGRITY
At the root of much of our pain and suffering lies a profound spiritual truth: we are out of alignment with the deepest wisdom of our own hearts. Most of us, much of the time, are disconnected from the sacred truth that resides within us. We say "yes" to people, places, and things that we long to say "no" to, driven by a deep-seated fear that, if we speak our truth, we might lose something precious—something that we believe gives us love, validation, or a sense of belonging. But the paradox is this: the love we are seeking externally is already woven into the very fabric of our being. It is not out there. It is here, within us, waiting to be recognized, waiting to be embraced. Can you imagine a world where, in each moment, we can pause, check in with our hearts, and honor the quiet wisdom found there? Where we can stand in the fullness of our truth—spoken with love, tenderness, and reverence for ourselves and others? What a world that would be. When we fail to honor the truth of our hearts, when we defer to the expectations of others or the demands of the world, we abandon ourselves. We betray the sacred contract we have with our own soul. It takes courage to say "no." In saying "no," we risk rejection, the possibility that the love or connection we have known will slip away. But here lies the essential truth: it is our sacred responsibility to be in integrity with our heart's deepest knowing. It is our divine duty to align with our soul's truth, no matter how daunting that may feel. This is where the soul’s alchemy occurs. In the act of surrendering, of trusting that our truth is the path to liberation, we transcend the fears that bind us. We let go of the illusion of survival through external validation and step into the eternal, unshakable love that has always been within us. By choosing to honor our heart’s truth, we not only set ourselves free, but we also invite the other to do the same. When we live authentically, we give others permission to live authentically too. It’s a sacred exchange—an offering of love that is pure, unguarded, and rooted in truth. So, let us be in alignment with the truth of our hearts—not the truth of others, not the truth of a societal ideal, but the divine truth that calls to us from the depths of our being. This truth is not always easy to face, but it is the gateway to our freedom. It is the gateway to peace. Ask your heart, "Is this in alignment with my truth?" And listen. The love you’ve been seeking is already within you. You are the love you’ve been waiting for. Can we begin now? Can we, in each moment, choose to live in alignment with the divine truth within us? Because when we do, we step into a life of profound healing, freedom, and unconditional love—a life that mirrors the boundless love that is already within us. THE MORNING POEM
In desperate hope, I go and search for her in all the corners of my room. I find her not. My house is small and what once has gone from it can never be regained, but infinite. is thy mention, my Lord, and seeking her, I have come to thy door. I stand under the golden canopy of thine evening sky, and I lift my eager eyes to thy face. I have come to the brink of eternity, from which nothing can vanish, no hope, no happiness, no vision of a face seen through tears. Oh, dip my emptied life into that ocean, plunge it into the deepest fullness. Let me for once feel that lost sweet touch in the allness of the universe. AN ASPECT OF GRIEF
Grief is often seen as something to be avoided….something painful, something dark. Yet, if we look beyond its surface, we find that grief is not an enemy, but a sacred release. It is the soul's way of shedding old wounds, ancient pain, the illusion that we were ever separate from love. The truth is, we were never apart from the Sacred. Grief, in its alchemy, reconnects us to the eternal oneness we have always been a part of, even when we’ve forgotten. Yes, grief is painful, but it is not merely sorrow; it is a profound healing force. If you wish to be free from anger, allow your grief. If you long to transcend fear, surrender to your grief. Beneath these emotions, grief often lies hidden, a deep current of longing and release. When we open ourselves to grief, we dissolve the illusion of separateness. We are drawn back, in time, into the embrace of the Beloved, into the arms of our true nature. Some threads of grief will linger, for its depth is boundless, but each moment of surrender is a reunion, a return to the Sacred, to the love that is both our origin and our destination. There is a spiritual transcendence in grief….an opening that comes as the pain begins to ease. It is a sacred moment, when the soul surrenders to its deepest longing and reunites with the One, with the eternal truth that underpins all things. And one more thought: when you cry, do not hold back. Do not sniff the tears back in. Let them flow freely, for there is a holiness in your tears. They carry the imprint of your soul’s journey, the release of that which no longer serves you. The mucus, the tears…..these are not simply bodily fluids; they are part of the soul’s purification. Gently release them. Do not draw them back into your body. Let them go, as they carry the old pain, the old stories, into the great river of love. Finally, do not leave yourself alone in your grief. In those tender moments, remember: you are never truly alone. We are always surrounded by the unseen support of the Sacred, and by the love of those who walk with us, whether in this world or the next. Allow yourself to feel safe in your grief. Let it be held by those who love you, and by the vast, unseen arms that embrace all who suffer. I share this with you this morning, as these thoughts have been stirring in my heart. It’s a reminder: It is not only okay to cry….it is sacred. Think of grief as a letting go, a surrender back into the arms of Love. THE HEART OF EXISTENCE
At the heart of existence, beyond the realm of time and form, there is a profound truth: we are all One. All that we see, touch, and feel, all is woven from the same sacred thread. This thread is Love…..pure, unconditional, and eternal. It is the creative force of the universe, the soul of all things. When we carry pain…..whether it is the weight of old wounds, unspoken grief, or the ache of longing….it is easy to think that in releasing it, means casting it onto others, often the people our hearts are most open to, for it is those we most love that mirror the deepest aspect of pain within. We project our hurt onto those around us, believing that by dumping the burden, we will be freed. But here lies a deeper, spiritual truth: to harm another, to pass on our pain, is to harm the very web of life itself. In reality, there is no “other,” no separation between us and the world we inhabit. Every soul is a reflection of the sacred, every life form is an extension of the same Love that flows through our own being. To inflict suffering upon another is to wound ourselves, for we are not apart from one another, but part of the same sacred whole. When we project our pain outward, we are simply adding to the collective sorrow that binds us all together in this human journey. True healing does not come from casting away our suffering, but from surrendering it to the sacred Light of Love that resides within. It comes from looking inward, facing the shadows of our pain, and offering them up to the eternal Love that is always present, always embracing. In this surrender, we dissolve the illusion of separation and reconnect with the Source from which we all come. When we heal ourselves in this way, we do not simply relieve our own suffering; we contribute to the healing of the world. As we heal our hearts, the hearts of those around us are healed. The collective pain of humanity lightens, and the sacred flow of Love, unimpeded, restores the world. In the end, the more we align ourselves with the force of Love, the more we realize that we never need to cast our pain outward. The pain, when surrendered in grace, transforms into the very light that can heal all things…..within us, and in the world. And this, dear soul, is the way of Love: to heal ourselves is to heal the world. THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING
There are few lines of poetry as imbued with mysticism and ancient promise as those spoken in J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings: "From the ashes a fire shall be woken,A light from the shadows shall spring,Renewed shall be blade that was broken,The crownless again shall be king." These words are more than prophecy; they are a spell, woven from the very threads of fate and entwined into the fabric of the universe. They speak of a cosmic cycle….destruction followed by rebirth, light born from the deepest darkness, and the unshakable return of the lost and broken to their rightful place in the grand design. The image of fire rising from ashes is an ancient alchemical truth: from dissolution and decay, new life and energy are born. Ash, a symbol of death and transformation, gives birth to a flame….one that burns with a new vitality, untamed and defiant of the weight of the past. This is not a mundane fire but one awakened by destiny itself, carrying the essence of ancient wisdom and primal power. It is not mere survival, but a roaring force of creation, a rebirth that cannot be stopped. The shadows, too, are not just darkness. They are the raw, unfathomable depths of the unknown. From this place of mystery, a light shall rise….not a light of clarity, but of revelation. It is the illumination that comes when all seems lost, when the way is obscured, and the path uncertain. It is the light discovered only by the seeker, the wanderer who ventures through the dark. This light does not simply reveal the world….it transforms it, unveiling realms hidden beneath the surface of things. It is not born of the sun, but from the heart of shadows themselves….ancient, secret, infinitely wise. A broken blade, once shattered and cast aside, now sings once more with the promise of restoration. But this is no mere physical repair. It is a mystical renewal, where the very essence of the blade is reforged in the fires of fate. This blade, tempered not just by heat, but by suffering, loss, and the passage of time, carries not only the scars of battle but the wisdom and strength born from them. It is a weapon of destiny, forged for a higher purpose and wielded by one who understands the deep mysteries of the world. And finally, the crown-less….those cast aside, forgotten, forsaken…..shall rise to their rightful place. This is not a simple return to power but a mystical ascent, a reclamation of a throne that transcends the material world. It is the fulfillment of a cosmic law, the coming into one's true nature, where destiny cannot be denied. The crownless do not merely reclaim earthly rule but ascend to a higher realm of kingship….a kingship born not of birthright or conquest but of an ancient, spiritual force. The crown that once eluded them is now revealed as a symbol not of authority, but of deep, innate power…..a power that emanates from the heart of the universe itself. These words, whispered from the ancient mouths of prophets and sages, carry within them the promise of cosmic order…..a return to balance and unity after chaos. They speak of the magical cycles of the world….of death and rebirth, shadow and light, destruction and creation. They remind us that even in the darkest times, the fire of transformation is waiting to be awakened, the light of hope hidden in the shadows, the broken shall be renewed, and those who have been cast down will rise again. In the great dance of the cosmos, nothing is ever truly lost. From the ashes, the fire shall rise; from the forgotten depths of shadow, the light of destiny will spring. And the crown-less, too, shall wear their crown again….not as mere rulers, but as sovereigns of the very forces that govern life and fate. "This is, in many ways, my story, and I am still reassembling myself. As I do, mysticism and spirituality have emerged over the years…..truthfully, they’ve always been there. By releasing suffering, we awaken to our true nature of a love beyond measure, infinite in nature, the spirituality and mysticism are but ways Love communicates itself, heart and soul.
