Born on July 21, 1956, in Nassau, Bahamas, Phyllis was encouraged by her mother, Florence Lockhart, a renowned Bahamian designer, who recognized her motivational talent and inspired her to teach and instill discipline in young individuals. Phyllis firmly believed that disciplined behavior was essential in all aspects of life and could be cultivated through not only formal education but also extracurricular activities.
