In response to the pandemic, Congress and the IRS have worked to try and help taxpayers and small businesses. Of course, the scammers and criminals have come out in force. Joining Eric is Kristina O’Connell, IRS Special Agent in Charge of Criminal Investigation Boston Field Office. Kristina will discuss which types of fraud the IRS is seeing and what they and other federal agencies are doing to combat it. She will also discuss what practitioners and taxpayers should watch for to avoid becoming a victim.
