Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) focuses on challenging and changing thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

That sounds a lot like what we are trying to do with tapping.

This week I have a conversation with Joan Kaylor who uses both tapping and CBT with her clients. She compares and contrasts the two approaches, highlights where they overlap, and how one can inform the other.

Understanding other modalities, tools, and techniques is a great way for us to improve the tools we are using.
