Show Notes
University of Florida researchers are enlisting Floridians help to spot invasive Asian swamp eels, snake-like fish that can disrupt native wildlife. These hardy eels, capable of breathing air and surviving in low-oxygen water, have been linked to declines in crayfish and amphibians. Theyre slimy, finless, and dark reddish-brown with orange or pink markings. If you spot one in canals, wetlands, or marshes, report it to help prevent further spread.
