Show Notes
Jay Ques, a new spot at 903 22nd Street South in St. Petersburg, has opened, taking over the old Catalyst on the Deuces space. This historic area, once a thriving Black business hub, is now seeing a revival with local investments. Jay Ques, owned by the Brayboy family, keeps the community spirit alive by hiring most of the old staff and offering a diverse menu, DJ nights, karaoke, and live shows. Despite controversy over a mural, theyve since commissioned a new one honoring the Deuces history. Currently in soft opening, Jay Ques is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday through Sunday.
