Show Notes
The Captain Cody Khork Scholarship has been established at Florida Southern College to honor the late Army Captain Cody Khork, a Polk County native who graduated from the school in 2014 through its ROTC program. The endowed fund will assist junior or senior cadets with expenses not covered by military stipends. Khork, who served multiple tours in Saudi Arabia, Cuba, and Poland, was killed in a drone attack in Kuwait during the Middle East conflict. His family, friends, and college community remember him fondly for his strong patriotism and accepting nature. The scholarship, which has already received over one hundred fifty donations, aims to inspire future leaders and celebrate Khorks life and service.
