This week on TALK! with AUDREY: MARIE NEWMAN, Anti-bullying Family Advocate is my guest. We talk about the challenges that some children face at school . . . bullying. Did you know that every seven minutes a child is bullied; 85 percent of the time, there is no intervention of any kind. In fact, bullying is a leading cause of suicide among children between the ages of 11 and 16. It's no surprise that 86 percent of children bullied say it interferes with their school studies. Marie has tips for parents and educators about how to support the fight against bullying.
