On October 1, 2013, as part of the new Affordable Care Act (ACA), health insurance exchanges opened for enrollment and millions of Americans who were previously uninsured now have the opportunity to purchase health insurance coverage effective in 2014. The new health care legislation poses some specific challenges for cancer patients, including those with a blood cancer.
