Show Notes

A story of schoolmasters and spectres. Of whimsical stories contrasted with terrible rumours. Of rivals in love, of beauty in nature, and of terror in folklore.

Proudly presenting "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, as written in 1819.

I first watched the Disney adaptation of this story as a young child, and I remember it as one of the scariest cartoon films I had seen up to that point. I admit that I went in to reading this story with some of that same childlike fear and trepidation. I sincerely hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I did recording it.
