The Bears are back from their bye week, but David Haugh and Dan Wiederer still have lingering big-picture topics to cover. First off, while the Bears are technically kind of in the mix for an NFC playoff spot, we need to make it clear they need to aim higher than being in the bottom of a bad playoff picture. As for Justin Fields and his future with the Bears, he has shown progress since his return from injury, but the Bears should have a rare chance this offseason to get every piece of the organization lined up — and that would mean moving on from Fields. And if the Bears try to attract Jim Harbaugh as their next head coach, might he want to make drafting Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy a priority?
