It was a slightly more active trade deadline for the Bears than we were expecting! The team traded a 2024 second-round pick to Washington in exchange for edge rusher Montez Sweat. David Haugh and Dan Wiederer break down the trade. Is that too high of a price? Will the Bears be able to extend Sweat after the season? Also, the guys discuss the Bears retaining cornerback Jaylon Johnson after he had requested to be traded as the two sides haven't yet found common ground on a contract extension. What direction are the Bears trying to head in? Finally, it will once again be Tyson Bagent starting for the Bears at quarterback against the Saints this Sunday. Justin Fields has already been ruled out for the game.
