防堵英國變種新冠病毒，指揮中心高規格防疫，上個月27日從倫敦返台航班的111名旅客，11日即將檢疫期滿，引發外界關心，對於後續的自主健康管理，是否也有特殊規範。對此，發言人莊人祥回應，由於乘客在解隔離前，都得採檢兩次，已經降低感染和傳播風險，因此只要依照先前規定，外出配戴口罩，還是能搭乘大眾運輸工具，除非出現症狀，才會限制搭防疫計程車；另外為了春節返鄉潮，緊急釋出1500間的集中檢疫所，截至10號早上，已經有818人預約、超過5成，未來也會視訂房狀況增加數量，最多將可提供到2500間。
