紐西蘭籍機師傳染給本土的個案，再次讓航空機組人員返台後的居家檢疫制度，再度受到關注，原本機師返台只要居檢3天、空服員5天，現在交通部研擬一律延長到7天，中央流行疫情指揮中心今（25）日回應，如果航空公司無法確保落實現行防疫SOP，延長居檢天數是最後不得已手段；而紐西蘭籍機師執勤期間沒戴口罩，交通部已對長榮重罰100萬，未來還不排除縮減航班，工會今天發聲明，希望主管機關能審慎評估，畢竟這攸關公司上萬名員工的生計。
