我國今（12）日新增8名境外移入確診個案中，最特別的就是案733、734。這對從美國返台的本國籍母子檔，小朋友年僅3歲，是我國疫情爆發以來，年紀最小的患者。目前推測可能的感染源為這一家庭群聚，第一是小朋友在美國登機前，曾經在機場的兒童遊戲區玩耍。另外，當時在美國去送機的爸爸回家後，也出現頭痛症狀。根據國外研究，染疫的小朋友，大約只有8%會演變成重症，而我國到目前為止，累計了3名未滿5歲的幼童確診個案，也都只有輕微的發燒症狀。
