一架F-16A單座戰機，昨（18）日晚間執行夜航訓練，剛從基地起飛兩分鐘，就在雷達光點消失，疑似墜落在花蓮機場東北方9海里的外海，上校飛行員蔣正志失聯。據了解訓練當時，一共四架次的F-16戰機同步起飛，蔣正志駕駛的戰機，卻在毫無任何求救通訊的狀況下，突然消失，國軍漏夜搜救，仍未發現他的下落。不過有一張監視器畫面，在墜機當時捕捉到一條疑似墜海光束，並傳出有發現疑似油料痕跡。
