美國輝瑞藥廠研發的疫苗傳出捷報，中央流行疫情指揮中心昨（10）日也表示，最快可望在明年第一季，透過COVAX全球取得機制取得，但還要證明疫苗確實安全、有效，否則都言之過早。
有參與臨床試驗的志願者透露，接種疫苗後的副作用就像是嚴重宿醉，也有人表示，會出現類似接種流感疫苗的副作用，像是頭痛、發燒跟全身痠痛。美國衛生部長阿札爾表示，預計12月時能讓染疫風險高的人優先接種，防疫大將佛契則表示，全美人民可能明年四月都能接種疫苗。此外，輝瑞疫苗必須保存在零下80度的低溫，因此疫苗的運輸儲存，將面臨更大的考驗。
