德國BNT生技與美國輝瑞藥廠合作的新冠疫苗，研發傳出捷報之後，外界也關心台灣是否有機會買到，中央流行疫情指揮中心今（10）日表示，最快可望在明年第一季，透過COVAX全球取得機制取得，但還要證明疫苗確實安全、有效，否則都言之過早。國內醫師認為，最好的辦法是直接和國外藥廠洽談簽約，只是台灣東洋日前傳出協商破局，短時間內不會重啟談判，因此必須看政府考量，以及其他廠商意願，如果是透過COVAX機制分配，恐怕時間較晚，且數量也不多。
